Wale is a Underground Hip Hop Artist, residing in the Streets Of D.C. Many of Wale's fan committed several errors when pronouncing his name. Many pronounce his name as "Wal - Lee" when its actually pronounced "Wa - Lay". Wale doesnt mind the errors his fans make as long as they listen to his music.

Wale was actually born Nigerian, Yoruba, while his parent were immigrants in D.C. Wale attended various of high school but managed to graduate in Quince Orchard High School. Wale went on to college but only managed to stay a year until he drop out to work on his dreams of becoming a musician.

Wale got recognition from his hit single "Dig Dug (Shake It)". The song became popular in various states and cities and was the most requested song by a local artist in D.C. After several success as a local artist, Wale decide to hire
Daniel Weisman as his manager.

Being featured in various of activities such as performing for shows and being featured in several rappers album, Wale was the new 'Highly Anticipated Rapper Of The Year'. Wale was even featured in the issues of "XXL Magazine" and "Rolling Stones" in mid October of 2007.

Wale went on releasing several mixtapes, but hasnt released an album yet. All of Wale's mixtape was released on his website known as www.elitaste.com.

Wale does plan on releasing a debut album in late 08 or early of 09. His album will feature production done by Mark Ronson, Kanye West, Just Blaze, 9th Wonder and French own electronic music duo Justice.

Wale will be working on both his mixtape and album, and he has stated that he will release a mixtape by mid September known as "Back To The Features", and the production will be handled by 9th Wonder.

Young Chris, member of the Hip Hop Group 'Young Gunz' stated that him and Wale are planning on making a mixtape together. Although they havent came up with a Mixtape name nor a DJ, Young Chris stated that the mixtape will come out eventually.
